5.7 heads on a 4.8,,head gasket? I installed a head package on a customers truck a while ago.He supplied all parts.The truck blew a head gasket(11lbs boost) and checked it out.I found that the heads are almost going past the fire ring where the valves were opened up..
Is there a problem running 5.7 gaskets on a 4.8 bore?
4.8 bore = 3.80"
Gasket wanted=3.91" to seal head?
