Default Lifter will not come out

Long story short i had a pushrod bend and tore into the head a little bit so I decided to pull the head to make sure things are ok, and the lifter that the pushrod bent on will not come out. I have about a half inch of room it will come out... I've been trying everything to get it out and can't seem to come up with anything... any ideas?

Take the cam out and push it out the bottom. I just had the same thing happen to me, except my retainer tray cracked and allowed the lifter to turn sideways.

I have one stuck in my block as well....is there any other way to get it out besides having to order the tool or pull the cam out?

If the lifter is damaged and you force it out the top you will damage the lifter bore. Remove the cam and remove from the bottom. The lifter should come out easily from the top or something is wrong.

Most likely it turned and you probably damaged the cam at the same time.

This is what i found when I pulled it out. Had to pull the cam... the lifter hole doesn't seem to have any damage so hoping for the best now...
