Default Forged Internals

I am planning on building a forged motor for my custom nitrous system (direct port) i hope. I will start it out with a 150 and work my way up to a 250. What kinda piston will i need. Can i buy of the shelf piston or, will i have to buy custom made ones with the rings moved down to make the top deck thicker. I am thinking of going with lunati rods but that is not what i am worried about.

P.S. i am going with stock cubes with 3.905 size pistons.

You have to take alot more into consideration (CR and so on). I can tell you that it will most likley not be an off the shelf piston. This is something that you need to talk to the person thats building the motor for you.

You are talking to the person that will be building the motor. I am doing research on it before i do any buying of parts.

They make pistons that are specifically for nitrous. The are made of a much thicker material. Plus I would have a thermal barrier coating applied to them. We have a set of Lunatis coming that have a small dish in them which is better for nitrous use compared to a domed piston. PLUS the block will be oringed with a receiver groove cut into the heads. In addition ARP head studs will be used instead of bolts.

Diamond pistons are a good choice as well.
