Default Custom ground cam

Hey im thinking of a custom grind for my 04 GTO. All of my mods are in my sig.

What im wanting from a cam is great drivability, more power all across the rpm range, a good idle ( 112 LSA is the most agressive idle i will do ) But i would prefer close to stock. I dont want to shift any higher then 6500 rpm.

Major concerns are drivability and it has to pass emissions. Also has to be easy to tune. I have one guy around here i trust for tuning. I would like RWHP and TQ to be around 380 if not more.

I ran a custom grind 232/238 600/600 109 for you I'd do a 112 or 114 LSA that should put you spot on what you ar looking for HP wise. Now driveability comes down to tune. if its spot on you can run what ever cam then again driveability comes down to what you can handle also. Right now I am running another custom grind some what more aggressive but I can deal with it. Get compliments all the time I drive that thing even from cops and she is loud and obnoxious and over all has the sound of the old school hot rods.

Pat-G/EPS endurance lobed 222/226 -115 LSA seems to work nicely with LS1's, especially mated with a set of 243 heads.

For a closer to stock idle, you want a wider LSA like a 114/115. A 112 is going to get choppy even with a 224 cam.

Im not sure if your hung up on a custom cam or not, but I'd look into what the 224 and 226 cam cars are putting down. They make good power and with the right LSA will idle fairly close to stock.

Well what I don't have is great tuning though.
