Default PTVC solid lifter "kit"?

does anybody know if Comp sells a "kit" with dummy solid lifters for valve clearance purposes? if so, what's the part number on it. I'm reusing my stock lifters and am not sure if tearing a couple apart to make them solid and then putting the springs back in is a good idea. any info would be great, thanks

Bump for a good question. Possibly a kit with "checker springs" as well (not sure where to find the checker springs). I've heard a stock hydraulic lifter can be unbolted, shims inserted, and rebolted. In essense, this would produce a suitable solid lifter for measuring pushrod length/lifter preload, and PTV measurements, correct?

A better approach may be to find someone who has an old set laying around that you can buy a couple from. With the number of guys buying new lifters I bet you can find someone more then willing to part with a couple of old ones for a few bucks.
