Default tr224/224 .563/.563 112lsa

I have basically a stock M6 car (lid and catback) with stock 3.42 gears. I want to go with the tr224/224 .563/.563 112lsa cam because I want the heavy lope and performance. I will be getting headers (prolly hooker LT's and off-road y-pipe) when I put in this cam. I may not have ls1 edit until a few months later. Is this cam ok with stock 3.42 gears?? Do I need titanium retainers?? Any suggestions on my setup?

That cam will work fine with 3.42s. 4.10s would be even better but you might not like them. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> As for titanium retainers they are not worth the $ in my opinion. Yes they are lighter than the stock retainers but being lighter doesn't mean they will amount to any tangible gain/benefit. The retainer is a very small percentage of the overall valvetrain mass. I'd put that $150 towards Edit.
