Default What is going to work with a Torquer V3. PLEASE HELP

Hey guys,

Torquer V3:

231/234 .643"/.598" 111 LSA

I'm rebuilding my motor.. I'm at the halfway mark here. I either need to step forward and get some new heads, or go backwards and take apart my whole block and go with a smaller cam.

I currently have Pro Comp 5.3 heads that were just cleaned up. It's an LS6 block, stock pistons. The guy at the machine shop is telling me there is no way that a Torquer V3 is going to have optimal clearance in my set up.

Are there ANY head setups that will bolt-on out of the box and have the necessary clearance for my motor?

My only other option here seems to be flycutting, and re-using my old heads. Although re-using my old heads will apparently not be the best idea.

So, anyone.. please help.

Thank you

Yeah there are several ways you can go. Basically any unmilled head will clear.... Some like TFS and PI heads will clear with a good mill but obviously are more $$$$ What is your budget?????

looking to spend 1200-1600 for heads. That's either a TSP Stage 2.5 5.3 heads or TSP LS6 2.5 heads. I'm thinking the LS6's would bolt right on no problem.

Well after some searching it seems like LS6 heads are the way to go.. 5.3 heads clear, but if you float a valve, it's done. The PTVC with the 5.3's are still quite close..

I think I'm going to go with PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 Ported heads
