I have had somekind of problem but not sure what direction to look myself, when I first did my cam it pulled and peaked at 6400rpm , after 400 miles it peaks at 5800rpm and then starts to curve over slowly, not just a drop, I was think slipping tranny, or bad torque converter, but now I may lean towards valvesprings. Then again Im not sure, but I lost 18hp and 30ft after 400 miles something is not right

Boom, question, do you have the OEM style valve locks on the heads?

Mine did the same exact thing except instead of peaking at 6500 like it used to, it peaks at 5200 and flatlines the rest of the way. I lost 30rwhp after 10k miles.

I have 02 LS6 valve springs, stock retainers and locks. Dont know whats going on (After only 400miles) but I do have a brand new set of manley springs and ti retainers sitting here waiting till it gets warmer. I hope its just the valvesprings, but with my luck its not. Its probable gonna end up being the most expensive part, The Tranny.

You have a copy of your dyno graph? I'd like to see if it looks like mine does.

It sounds like the springs. Mine did the same thing Josh and I changed the springs and the problem went away..

I've been doing pretty much whatever people want.

The Ford guys have been the biggest market as of now but, with the AFR LS1 heads and quite a few "dealers" buying LS1 camshafts from me, I decided to look further into marketing the "StreetBeast Packages" for LS1 like I have successfully done for the FoMoCo gang.

My cohorts in crime, Ron and Adam Manchester, have raced in NHRA Pro Stock and Comp Eliminator and for the last five years, they've been involved with some "names" in NASCAR so we have to be available for all brands, domestic and import.

"My" roots are from the NHRA Stock and Super Stock ranks and that's why I prefer the Mustang "Sportsman" level competition. However, as soon as a GM type sanctioning body has "Heads-Up" LS1 classes, I'll be there...

Now.... Before I get hammered for hi-jacking the thred, we better keep it to PM or Emails...
