Wow I dont know where you are gonna get a fast for a couple hundred more,,, Its much more than a couple hundred. The ls6 will give you a few more ponies, but if you are even considering a fast later on down the road, just bite the bullet and buy it now. I did what you are considering when I first got into the ls engine, I bought a ls6 intake and now run a ported fast 92

Just get the FAST. If you dont youll always know theres more power to be had, and you dont have it.

I started with buying the LS6 manifold and eventually bought a ported FAST92 because I went to a 408 stroker. If you plan on doing a good amount of mods, then I agree with everyone else, bite the bullet and buy it. But if you are looking to make under 450whp then stay with the LS6 if you want to save some money. You are talking about dropping $350 shipped for a used LS6 mani or no less than $700 for a used FAST because you can't use your stock throttle body anymore either which could bump up the price also. Minus the LS6 coolant bypass' that you will need too.
