Default first time ls1 build

hello everyone,

i am going to be pulling an ls1 out of the junkyard and rebuilding it for a project with my friend. this is the first time we have done anything like this we want to make some hp gains but not sure what to go with. we were thinking ms3 or ms4 cam, heads or intake, but don't know what the best combination would be to get the most bang for the buck. any input that anyone has would be great like i said before this is our first attempt at building an engine and have a lot to learn.

What brand is your torque wrench, and when was it last calibrated?

Ever used a micrometer before?

Welcome to the site, go change your panties.

Not sure where the put down was in my two questions. You said "rebuild" and in most shops that's teardown and machine work. I mistakenly assumed you knew what you were talking about.

Good luck w/ the "rebuild" I suppose...

The most HELPFUL advice you'll get is for you to return the cheap-o torque wrench and go buy an LS1 book.

I'm signing off this thread, good luck dude.
