Default SES light coming on.

I am looking at buying a an 01 T/A. The car has been modded as follows:
K&N cold air intake
SLP long tube header & Y pipe
LS6 rocker arms
GM hot cam.
I asked the buyer about the SES light and he replied:
"They are smog legal if you put and exhaust on it. The SES light does come on when its cold but Ive been to autozone multiple times it always says O2 sensor heater and have replaced two of them since they are cheap. In the warm months the light never comes on."
My question for everyone is, is the light coming on because the car has no exhaust past the headers or is it because of the cam? I don't mind putting an exhaust system on, but if the car won't pass AZ smog with that cam, I will pass on it. Any thoughts?

Thats probably something wrong with the tune, or lack there of. I would get it tuned after buying it.

Ask him what exactly he means by "LS6 rocker arms".

Yah, nothing was mentioned about a tune. I'll need to find someone in Tucson that can do this if I move on the car.

Find out if it is tuned. That is the first thing tuners do is make that light "go away". Or if it has O2 simms on it. Which doesnt sound like it, plus they are "illegal" to sell now.
