Default Relector Wheel Bent and Chew'd

Do I really have to drop the f%#'n motor to fix the reluctor wheel? Anyone had luck manually trying to bend straight?

You could try it if you like, but I think the spec from GM is that there is only .020" tolerance for runout

How did it get bent in the first place?

I would not straighten it, tolerance is way too tight. Yes , you need to remove the crank to replace it. I believe it takes special tools to install it so it is alinged correctly. I have a new wheel from GM in the bag if you need one. 20 shipped.
