Post Head work!

any input would be appreciated... i have a 234/242 .624 .609 112 cam and stock heads, i am looking to buy a set of 243s... any suggestions on what would help these heads bring out the best in my cam?... port work, milling, valve job? and rough estimate of prices... thanks

Valvejob at the least, that's probably going to net the biggest gains and is typically only a couple hundred bucks.

You might be able to mill them .010-.020 and still maintain good PTV, but I would err on the cautious side unless you're willing to flycut.

We do a lot of porting on 243 casting heads. For $750 we can do the portwork/valve job, and then if you want some larger valves it is an extra $200. We would probably only do a cleanup mill to maintain pinston to valve clearance.

Do you have different cnc programs for different valve sizes?
