Default Building An LS1

My buddy wants to build an LS1 from scartch for his S10. I though I'd ask here so I could find out where we could get a block, aftermarket (complete) heads, pistons, cam, rods, etc. Can't be core exchange.
Any help?

Thanks!

You can look up part#s for the big stuff on www.gmgoodwrench.com if you follow the links to GM Performance Parts.

Might be cheaper to buy a crate LS6 longblock, the part# for it is listed there also.

There's junk yard near San Jose CA. that sells LS1/LT1 with MS or A4s. LT1 with tranny and conversion kit are about $3,500 LS1s with trans are about $5k email me at ssheets@ispwest.com if you want info. I've got their number somewhere.

By way of junkyards specializing in LS1 engines, I got my '01 LS1 and T56 complete for $4500 or so at http://www.contemporarycorvette.com/ located in Bristol, PA.

I bought my 99 LS1 / T56 with 28000 miles for less than 4,000.00 a year ago on ebay. All is well, just get references.

We have a set of used 6.0L heads complete. Or we can port them for boost and add new valves. I can get you a block and crank also.
