Burnt 6.0L motor.

Hey all my best friends father owns a salvage yard here in SE MN and they got a new chevy pickup in that was burnt. They already parted most of the truck out and said I could have the motor for $250. Will the block and heads still be fine for me to build a motor? I would most likely only use the block.

If it got hot enough it might have warped the block, not sure how you would tell honestly.

Sure, have it checked before you pay for it. Any decent machine shop can check the surfaces, main/cam alignment, etc.
