Default Prelube or not

I bought an used LQ4 longblock that has been rebuilt by the previous owner.

There's no oil in it for months now.. should I follow a prelube procedure before running it? Or does it only apply to new crate engines?

Certainly cant hurt to prime the oil system prior to start up. I prime the oil system on all my motors that are fresh rebuilds, as well as cars that have been sitting for a while, just for insurance.

Would that even work? Doesn't seem like it would spin fast enough to create pressure.
