Default 489rwhp / 458.4 rwtq *video* Update more TQ then first thought maybe?

http://www.newtechperformance.com/NickN.wmv

some details, ARE built 422, 242/242 112 cam, 1-7/8s QTP LT headers, stock, LS6 intake, 4 inch magnaflow catback. oh 10.75:1 CR

AF was at 12.5:1 I was sitting in the car and the dyno operator told me it was 12.8, and I left it at that, he just wanted to get my outta there with my loud *** car! haha

I am wondering why my peak TQ was so low, not neccessarily a low number but low in rpms it seems its about 2-300 rpm early in peak! could it be due to the intake manifold restriction perhaps?

SAE numbers were 489 rwhp and 458.4 RWTQ

actual HP numbers were 505.5 rwhp and 474 rwtq

I think the weather station was having some problem, now that that i think about it, we had to pull some ice out of the wideband! and the temps were around 60 degrees with a high humity to I don't think the correction factor should have been so much, for a day like that as it wasn't that cold and humid.

I will also add some drivetrain details, mcleod twin disk clutch, very heavy!, denny's nitrous ready steel drive shaft! very heavy as well, 12 bolt 4.10s and 17x11 AFS wheels with 315 nittos at 25 psi of air pressre

Awesome video! great setup and showing us the a/f and the rwhp curves etc....

Why do you have aftermarket fuel rails and the fuel system on there??? Would the stock fuel system not support 500 rwhp with a good 255lph intank pump?

Great Video! Your powerband looks awesome! Can't wait to see what and LSX intake manifold would do to a setup like yours!

bling factor and oh yea 250 shot

JRP, the car is very streetable, I drove it 30 miles to the dyno and back.

Ryan, yea I am pretty happy with it, but I know there is a lot more there, with a better intake, I can't wait to see what the LSX 90 mm does for me as well.

I got the files from the dyno I had a cutouts open run that is not in the video, it is a LOT louder, as someone mentioned paint was falling off the walls! anyway best SAE numbers were 493.4 rwhp 509.4 unccorected.

ok I have determined since a dynojet measures HP and not TQ, that my TQ numbers are completely wrong! I got my hands on the MPH graph, and recalculated my rpm and TQ points, it sounds about right..... check it out!

peak HP occures at 5600

peak TQ is 538 ft/lbs! I'm just gonna have to redyno I guess.

BTW typo on the equation its late, lol

TQ = (HP*5252) / RPM

Great #'s. Why did you stay low on the compression? You could run at least 11.25:1 on pump 92 gas.

Are those coil relocations part of the valve covers or did you fab those yourself? KILLER #'s BTW!
