Ls hot cam
I didn't run it but installed it in a 2001 SS 6 speed with 3.73. Car made 386 hp and 3.79 tq on a dynojet dyno when we tuned it. Guy that the car belonged to liked it but didn't need it and it sounded good for sure and pulled good for a small lift (525 intake and exhaust). Need more gear in my opinion like 4.10 but he drove the car everyday and didn't have any problem. I used 7.40 pushrods from Thunder Racing in it and didn't use the springs that the kit came with, used Comp Cams 918 with stock retainers and Pacesetter longtubes with off road Y pipe and Flowmaster muffler.

It's basically a choppier variant of the ls6 cam for power production. You might wanna consider the tsp 224 or the thunder 224 cams if you want bigger. If you want sleeper, either the ls6 cam or the thunder cheatr will do just fine.
my buddy blkbird runs the hotcam with unported LS6 heads i believe and put down somewhere between 380-400rwhp..

What's your goals/plan. Street/drag or street/corners with the suspension mods you have planned.

I'd look at the TR Cheatr V3(basicly a better hot cam) has a nice split and should take the spray you plan on very well. ported 243's, FAST, LT, Stall if you're A4.

im looking for a mild build set of poeted 243s the rear suspension is a full bmr setup torque arm lcas brackets panhard havent installed sway bar yet but im waning about 5 on the bottle. and hopefully 4 on motor i got the cam brand new for a lil pover a hundred dollars got ls6 springs and comp push rods. pre existing mods are ls6 intake ported tb free mods, pacesetter headers true duals w a h pipe and a lid
Im running the Cheater V3 and i love it. Idles stock and pullls hard to 7 grand. I gained a **** ton of power after 5200 rpm after. By 5800 i was over 40 rwhp more then the stock cam.

Id go with the VRx3 cam. You can research it in the dyno section. Vengeance has made ALOTA darn good power with that cam. Its a good mild cam. Or you could step up to the VRx4

i just got home from getting my car tuned by rex extreme and it pulled 362 horse and 358 torque on motor im hppy not bad for a 120 dollar cam lol
