I understand what you are saying about NA bolt on cars but NOT everycar will do that. I can find a handful of 224 cams that cant even break into the 11's. With the car light enough sure it is possible but NOT every car is going to do it. How many of the bolt-on NA cars did that in positive DA??

For shitz n giggles we have a bolt-on (no cam, stock intake) TBSS that has gone 12.0's (-200 da)but it is light, is every bolt-on TBSS gonna do that hell no but if you work with what you have and can pull enough weight anything is possible.

+1 for Vengeance. My buddy has a bunch of parts from them, and his car is quick.

I too have a hotcam car. Is it junk? yea but its better than the stock cam. by not very much. We are talking 20rwhp with a good tune on a car with longtubes/bolt ons. I wouldnt buy one new, or used, but my recent car came with one. It makes noise and runs fine.

Go ahead and get a nice cam from sponsors and worry about heads later. A big cam on stock cubes/heads dont always make a big enough diff in power over driveability IMO also. Do some research and set up a good combo and you will be happier in the end.

fwiw my hotcam car runs 7.teens with just a little 100 dry shot and no weight savings or suspension work at all.
