Default 383 package

Hi all im looking at building a 383 as i have some parts laying around to atleast get the short block started. It will be going into a 2800-3000lb car with driver and will be used on the street but is not a daily driver. looking for a head/cam combo that will work with a vic jr/ super vic 4bbl t/b setup . I dont want to rev it pass 7000 so making peak HP at around 6300-6500 and a nice flat tq line is what i am after. Im thinking some ported ls6 heads and maybe the new TR stroker cam should do the trick. Will be running a th400/9" and would like to keep the stall around 3600 with some 3.9's in the rear. I think 450rwhp 400 odd of tq should see me in the 10's ?

why such a tame 383? those a 346ci numbers.. with a forged 383 you should be able to get more power, retain streetability, and safely rev the car to 7k.

A nice set of worked ls6 heads and a good cam should see you with those numbers fairly easy . I have only seen the new TR stroker cam with TFS heads.
