Default What lifters should I get?

I am getting ready to install some TFS 215s that I bought a while back. Getting ready to gather up the parts I will need & gonna replace the lifters. I heard LS7 lifters work in the LS1s but I also heard just get LS1 lifters so which one is better to use?

Stock lifters are fine. Some run the Comps some run the Morels as far as aftermarket goes. Preference in preload. I ran CompR's back in the day and never had some of the issues that others experienced. I would get a good amount of feedback on it before you make any kind of decision though.

I went to the Scoggin Dickey site & found the LS7 lifter is the replacement lifter for all gen 3 engines. The lifter trays are plastic, I have heard of aluminum(LS2??) lifter trays which I would like to get as well. Who sells these?

Issues? I know Morels are not cheap & would rather run stock replacements as they are much better priced.

I'd get new lifters for sure, but my shop told me before my head swap that my stock lifter trays were 100% fine!

Just got off the phone with Thunder Racing. They said Morels are overkill unless you are building 800HP machine. They said that they use LS7 lifters all the time in 500-600HP builds. New lifter trays were also recommended as the factory plastic ones get brittle after lots of miles of heat cycles and such.

Therefore I just ordered GM LS7 lifters for $147 as well as

Pat G spec'd cam, GM head gasket, GM exhaust manifold gasket, GM head bolts, GM waterpump gasket, GM front cover gasket, GM front cover seal, GM valve cover gaskets, GM LS2 timing chain, GM lifter trays, GM crank bolt

I called Scoggin Dickey & ordered some LS7 lifters along with the LS2 lifter trays. I didnt know they were plastic but thats what they tell me. I also ordered head gaskets, Yella Terras, & HP Tuners from them. I am glad I called them cuz over the phone the YTs were only $402, their site lists them at $469. Only bad thing is theyre on backorder till 6-28. Anybody else have these for that price?
