Default Help me pick a cam.

Well guys, we are changing out the cam for something more friendly, to bring the RPMs down.

Goals for the car: fun street car. Has a th400 with 3.54 gears and a 3200 converter setup for the turbo kit. Motor is a 312 CID

I dont care if i have a little lope, or none at all. These are the ones i'm looking at:

220/220 .551/.551 114 LSA

214/220 .600/.523 115

215/ 223 .604 / .610 112

We want something that has a good powerband, motor is 9.1:1 compression, PRC stage 2.5 ls6 heads (needs new springs, so trying to find something i can get away with my beehives with but looks like everything needs a bigger spring so far), vic jr. intake w/ elbow and 90mm. Current cam is WAYYYY too big at 244/252 for such a small motor. Car will be turbo'd at some point, so peak performance isnt a big deal, and they all should work fairly well with a turbo as well. Just looking for something fun and torquey in the mean time.

yup!

The 224/224 i think might be more than i want with such a small motor, not entirely sure. Seems nobody has anything other than z06 cams in 5.3s, so even trying to find something with a 5.3 is a PITA.
