You guys better leave him be. He's got a T-66 turbo, Spoon engine, and a MoTec system exhaust. Yeah, and a standalone fuel management system. Not a bad way to spend ten thousand dollars.

Sir, no body on here doesn't like you... It's just the way you talk, You talk as if you don't know what a ls1 is. Thats Why everyone is saying this stuff. People prolly misunderstood you and thought you wanted to chose a tuner instead of a ls1 (I hope thats true tho lol). Just calm down a little and try to fit in with the lsx Family.

Ok.. Lets start with some real simple questions. Once answered, we can honestly help you better:

Is the car an auto or manual?
What is your budget?
Will you be doing all the work yourself? (since you don't claim to be a mechanic, I'm assuming you won't be)
Do you have any shops that work on LS1's and do tuning near you? (If you told us where you were located, there might be someone on here that could recomend a shop near you to help you)

i gave this guy the benefit of the doubt at first thinking "ok he's just new" and we all started somewhere, but just some of the comments made "wicked" and miss spelling every other word..wow..is all I can say, you seem young and while that doesnt always mean immature or naive I think both apply in this situation..its all in the research and being smart about the combination you want to put together

Nothing budget is going to take down a 2011 mustang gt with a supercarger.

You best bet is (I'm assuming A4) a stall, headers/exhaust, ls6 intake, and sticky tires. Pull out all the weight you can, and pray he spins and doesn't fly past you before the end of your race.

You seriously thought a diablo tune was going to give you 50-100 hp? wow.. even the most aggressive of those things will only net you 15.

This was actually a great response. I never have been much of a gear head until I picked up my 2000 Z28. Now all I do is look for things to do to this car. I learned a freakin ton from that original "So you wanna be fast" post.

Just hanging around the forums and reading other peoples posts will give you a good idea where to go and if you have a question feel free to post it, just do us a favor and do a search first.

You have a good lookin car there, so give your wallet a break and do tons of research before you dive into modding. It's addictive and can easily become a money pit. Set up some realistic goals for yourself and what you plan to see from the car (450 hp, 11 sec drag, etc) and people will be able to help you from there.

Right on, you guys are awesome! Well I got a 2000 ford f550 turbo diesel truck, and I added a bullydog, trippledog, tune, and it gave me over 210 hp!!! I was hoping that the same kind of tunes existed for my camaro as well! I spent all my $ on the truck and now it's the cars turn! Im gona do some more research on my car to find out exactly whats under the hood, because a guy hasd ut till 40 000 k and he had all kinds of slp performance.. Its got slp exhasut already! No cats! But how do I find out what kinda tranny I have? I got the 6 speed hurt shifter! manual trackion control! I got 10 inch rims all around with 275 tires! Knn air! This car hass potential!!!

Bro real talk look into buyin a set of long tube headers an off road y pipe and a GOOD cat back exhaust system. Than buy a LS6 manifold. Than a stall if your car is an automatic, or a stronger clutch if your cas is a 6 speed manual. Than you can look into cam and heads and all that other stuff. You need to do some searching on this site. There is lots of great advice on here.

that soundss good!! so first ill look into getting long tube headers... with an off road y pipe...illl go what 3.5" exhaust! maybe get the ls6 manifold next! that sounds greeat! Its 6 speeed and the clutch sucks!!! I try and go through the gears and i lose my clutch and cant shift and stall! I dont know why my clutch does that! Must get too hot! So say i do these headers and manifold what kinda horse would I be looking at? And there is no bi law for noise or polution I dont need cats!!!

Take it easy mitch; youre new and need to learn...Dont lose yourself into arguing with other tech guys. Just follow the advice you got.

I would say that nitrous is a bad idea for you since youre a LS1 noob. You dont wanna melt the engine right from the start.

I learned the hard way from beeing a noob; I blew up my engine on the dyno cause I spun it too high and valves hit couple pistons(no cutoff last owner was stupid on that too!).

Start with boltons and a tune; headers, ORY, cutout, LS6 intake, ported TB, U/Ds pulleys, gears(if you want), good spark plugs, good tires and at last head/cam package. You should visit a sponsor from this site that you will surely help you with your needs.

Tons of good info to read here. Take your time!! FWIW, I read for 3 months in the nitrous section before installing my wet kit from HSW..
