I want cheap performance
Seriously someone please

Is the car an auto or manual?
What is your budget?
Will you be doing all the work yourself? (since you don't claim to be a mechanic, I'm assuming you won't be)
Do you have any shops that work on LS1's and do tuning near you? (If you told us where you were located, there might be someone on here that could recomend a shop near you to help you)
You best bet is (I'm assuming A4) a stall, headers/exhaust, ls6 intake, and sticky tires. Pull out all the weight you can, and pray he spins and doesn't fly past you before the end of your race.
You seriously thought a diablo tune was going to give you 50-100 hp? wow.. even the most aggressive of those things will only net you 15.

Just hanging around the forums and reading other peoples posts will give you a good idea where to go and if you have a question feel free to post it, just do us a favor and do a search first.
You have a good lookin car there, so give your wallet a break and do tons of research before you dive into modding. It's addictive and can easily become a money pit. Set up some realistic goals for yourself and what you plan to see from the car (450 hp, 11 sec drag, etc) and people will be able to help you from there.
I would say that nitrous is a bad idea for you since youre a LS1 noob. You dont wanna melt the engine right from the start.
I learned the hard way from beeing a noob; I blew up my engine on the dyno cause I spun it too high and valves hit couple pistons(no cutoff
last owner was stupid on that too!).Start with boltons and a tune; headers, ORY, cutout, LS6 intake, ported TB, U/Ds pulleys, gears(if you want), good spark plugs, good tires and at last head/cam package. You should visit a sponsor from this site that you will surely help you with your needs.
Tons of good info to read here. Take your time!! FWIW, I read for 3 months in the nitrous section before installing my wet kit from HSW..
