ok i have a 04 GTO LS1 with pacesetter LT, catless mids, and magnaflow CB, and a k&n drop in. i been thinking of getting a cam, the car in my DD so i want it to be streetable but make power.

my question is, can i make 400whp with cam only, how close can i get with what cam and any other mods? i know a tune well be needed.

any info would be helpful thanks.

 

It will be the same thing as a later 4th gen LS1, many have hit 400+ with a 224/224 cam and killer tune. The IRS in the GTO is going to rob a lil power vs. a solid axle though.

I would go for a little bigger cam to reach your goals, maybe even hit up Patrick G or Predator Z for a custom spec'd cam to meet your goals for sure.

 

400 is definitely obtainable with a cam and what you have just depends how big you wanna go for a DD

 

Call Geoff at EPS. He has a mild mannered cam that has made 430/410 cam only in a camaro.
