Default Corvette/Camaro LS1 differences

Can anyone tell me the difference between the LS1 that came in the 98-02 f-bodies and the 97-04 Corvette? I know the Corvette uses drive by wire, and I believe had a slightly different cam profile...but arent they basically the same?
