so i bought a set of comp cams 918 springs they do not have the blue stripe on them and came with retainers and keepers not sure if there the new redesigned ones or not. Is there any way to measure these and see if there indeed the 918s cause im gonna rum a .580 lift cam and need the 918s but have a feeling thses i just bought are stock? the color is kinda brownish dull.

 

guessing you bought them used? putting them on a spring tester would be an easy way to see what you have.

 

I had the same ******* thing happen, some POS on here sold me stock springs in a comp 918 box...good my heads were getting surfaced and the machinist checked them...70#s seat pressure on them!

bought some PACs from 99blancoSS on here and they are noticeably thicker!
