6.0 Iron Block identification numbers

6.0 Iron Block identification numbers Going to pick up a used iron block. I think they had 3 different casting numbers for the 6.0 iron blocks. For years 1999-2001, 2001-2005, and then 2006-and up. Am I correct and if so what are the numbers and differences.

According to GM there new cast iron block 12572808 is a direct replacement for 1998-2004 LQ4 and LQ9 Truck and SUV 6.0L. The early version 6.0 had the iron heads and a .400 longer crank and the later version had aluminum heads with the shorter crank. The difference between the LQ4 and the LQ9 was the compression. Other then these differences the blocks should be the same for these years. The only casting number I know for a used block is 12551364. I'm sure there are others as well.
