Default Another "which cam" thread...

Alright, so I thought I had my mind set on the comp cam below, but I got to hear the Torquer v.2 and I REALLY like it. The cam will go in my dd, so drivability is an issue. The cam will be installed along with a 3200 stall and 3.74 gears With that in mind, which cam would you choose?

Comp:
228/230 .571/.573 112 lsa

Torquer v.2:
232/234 .595/.598 112 lsa

Will there be much of a difference in drivability between the two with the stall and gears?

Go with the v2. I run the v2 (M6 car) and I like it quite a bit. Thats my biased .02.

Yep. Just ordered one from Geoff for my new 403 SB. I filled out the sheet on his website and then he called and we talked about 30 minutes with him asking ?'s and explaining things. He went out of his way to spec a cam he thinks will be perfect for my use of the car. Great guy who REALLY knows WTF he is doing!!

This probably won't help you much, but I have a Yank ss3600, 3.73 gears, and a Comp 230/236 (.592/.602) and tune, and it drives very smoothly. So, if you know a competent tuner, I'd say go for the more aggressive cam and you should still have DD manners.
