Default possibly a stupid question....

Can I take the 383 stroker rotating assembly out of my ls6 and put it in a 6.0 iron block? Thinking about pushing a decent amount of boost and the aluminum block is kinda makin me think twice...any imput would be appreciated. Thanks

You can reuse the crank and the rods but you will need to get new pistons and rings. The 6.0L has a bigger bore than the LS1. Depending on how much you open the bore on the 6.0 block you could have anywhere from a 402ci to a 418ci motor.

you maybe able to put the 383 assembly in a 5.3l bored over and keep the same pistons if you just want a iron block. maybe someone will chime in that knows more

sounds interesting. I was asking because i have a friend who wants an aluminum block for the weight advantage, and he has a 6.0 iron block. Wanted to trade a while ago, but i think i will stick with my block, fireball took a alum. block to over 1200 horse, adn im not gonna be anywhere near that for a while, but thanks to both of you for responding.

Sure you can bore out a 5.3 to fit the pistons you have now.
