Catch Can ? please help
Catch Can ? please help so i just bought this moroso catch can from a board member my question is how do i install this as a catch can.It only has one inlet and a breather the moroso part #is 85500 i would appreciate any help.
As I read the Moroso description that is not a oil catch can, it is a "Overflow Tank, Vacuum/Dry Sump Breather"
"Eliminate the need for two tanks with these larger capacity vacuum/dry sump breather tanks from Moroso. They come complete with dual fittings allowing hookup from a vacuum pump and dry sump pump. They feature all aluminum, lightweight construction that includes a mounting clamp to simplify installation. Are you trying to route the downstream (presumbaly oil-free) air back to the intake tract like a conventional oil catch can or do you want to vent it to the atmoshpere?

It's an open breather element. If you route it back into the intake you will have a large vacuum leak there. With this catch can you're pretty much deleting you pcv system and running a breather. Instead of having one your valve cover now you'll route lines to the catch can. You'll need to block off any extra ports on the valve covers and block of the inlets into the intake and TB.
