Exclamation Help with water leaking ASAP!! New engine..

Ok for the past couple of days I have been installing a new motor, tranny..yada yada yada. Everything is in place and we were filling up the coolant....all of a sudden out of the back of the passenger head water started to leak out of one of the threaded holes. Am I missing a step? Did I forget to put something back there or can I just put a bolt in it and call it a day? My setup is a ls6 bottom end and 5.3 TEA heads.

There is a plug that goes there. That would be the coolant temp sensor hole IF you were using it as the driver's side head.

Me too. I was pissed at the engine builder till I figured out they just missed a plug. Lost some wetter water. I was more upset that the dog was trying to get in to the stuff

Was that the one? There is also a threaded hole for the coolant crossover or plugs, depending on front/back, etc.

Very true! There are also little gaskets that go in between the coolant crossover and the block. I forgot one of these previously and leaked coolant, couldn't figure out why for a while. Finally I found the gasket and whalaaa!

The bolt is an M12 x 1.5

Get the shortest one you can find and add a little teflon tape on the threads.
