Although I have installed numerous LS crate engines (LS3, LS7, LS2, LS1) I guess I still consider myself a newbie to LS "building". I scored a NEW stock LS6 12561168 3.98 bore block ($400.00) and want to build a decent street setup (450-475RWHP). Looking into different piston choices for stock bore applications. I want to keep a reasonabll stock 10.5:1 compression ratio as well. I'm not really wanting to spend 6-800.00 for pistons but it seems thats all there is out there. Even NEW stock pistons are (in my opinion) way over priced. Most of the vendors offer 4.00 or larger bore. Looking for opinions on a fair deal for stock bore/stroke applications. I may be asking too much but "asking" never costs anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
