Death of an engine, what is your thoughts???
As my original post mentioned, I did have one pull where my WOT read pig rich, which I attributed to the LC1 just being caput. I put the NGK in and no issues. Maybe there is chance one or two of the injectors could have gotten stuck open for some reason?? That would make sense of the odd reading on the LC1, and would obviously wash out the cylinders.
Anyways, with that said... Latest update is piston #7 is dead as everyone expected. Compression on all cylinders is around 165 +/-5 psi. Cyl #7 is a measly 35psi. They boroscoped #7 and found a score line along the cylinder wall, and on the corner of the piston by the score it was overheated, turning blue. All indication point to possible ring as everyone described. The odd thing which has everyone baffled is when looking at the valves, they look all pitted, like there was detonation, or something was in the cylinder bounding around hitting the valves. The piston was clean, no marks. All other cylinders and valves were fine.
Next step is head removal and dropping the oil pan to pull the piston out. Crossing my fingers the score isn't too bad and can be honed out

I read a post on here that someone had their ring break multiple times in #7. If they are able to salvage the cylinder, replace the piston, rings, rod, etc, will this in the end be stronger than what the factory installed (and maybe goofed on with piston slap issue) in cyl #7?
