Would you clean these pistons?

Newb question...

They're 1000 miles old. The guys that assembled my motor and supposedly reworked my heads didn't put new guides in. So there's been a little oil in the combustion chambers. If you think I should clean them, how would you do it?

its really up to you if it bothers you, there really isn't anything on those pistons that wont be back in less than 1000 more miles

Sure, why not? If they're only 1000 miles old, it should't be caked on badly. Bring the piston being cleaned to TDC and wipe it down with a rag that has some brake cleaner on it. It shouldn't be a huge deal.

Why bother? Seriously they are gonna get cleaner or dirtier depending on whats going on in the engine anyway. You're just gonna make more dirt, let um be.
