I think that the hotcam is a good choice for what you are wanting. Hotcam sounds great and makes good power with headers. But the key to any cam is tuning. You are not going to be pushing 380 ponies or running 11's without a good tune. Plus the hotcam does not want to idle all that well without tuning. You will not be completely happy or reach the cams potential without LS1 Edit. Like others said earlier, you better get some sticky tires too

 

I've had my Hotcam for close to a year now & have had no real idle issues after drilling the tb hole... With the mods in my sig I managed to put down 359.1rwhp & 359.6rwtq running very lean on a stock tune. I'm guessin that with a custom tune it should put down around 370 or so... Anyways, just another happy Hotcam user.
