.My one buddys cobra is straight nuts I know he's got a kb upgrade and so much other stuff , I could get a list of his mods but it will take a day, not so much talking about racing him ,that is outta my price range and outta my ball park, but to roll with a semi stock one is my goal here, yeah for who said sc turbo,by the time I get a motor together for enough boost to run one ill just go by one,I looked at the sts kit but it says 5 to 8 psi on a stock block to be safe I could be wrong, but gonna need more than that,I'm totally set on spray, for the power adder.I love turbos and sc but I don't have rich parents that buy me everything, you guys have been a lot of help. And its not like I'm spraying everywhere I go,just when needed

I was against nitrious but I did hours of research. Talking to people that know there crap, when it comes time to flip that switch I'm not gonna be worried at all, some people are just set on nitrious beeing so bad for your car.but those people have never been in a car with it or did any research on it.I tell you this if I would have been more towards the spray in the start of my car days I would have saved a lot of money. And a semi stock 03 cobra to me is pulley, bolt ons etc.sorry for any typing errors ,my comp broke and my phone is so gay to type on even with a keyboard.I just don't want someone to read somone kinda bashing it in a way . When it can save someone a lot of cash.

if you're just looking to play with lightly modded cobras you could do that with a decent cam/bolt ons

get a strong head/cam setup and build the drivetrain to support it and have fun

I'm a pretty good driver . It is a m6, gotta figure a lot of street racing is mostly from a roll,I prefer to go from a dead stop .I go to the track very often.the info you guys have given me I thank you for, maybe a block in the next year,do you guys think I should just rip it out and have one built, I don't wanna do that but a few of you made some good points.you all had good info but is I'm guessing 550 to much for the the stock block,

The car in the video I posted above is nothing more than a large cam, fast 90/90, LT, TD, TNT F1 kit with a 150rwhp shot and 4.10s. That Cobra has a ported blower and boltons so figure right around 500rwhp before heat soak sets in.

my recipe would include:
Heads (TFS 215/ Prc 215s)
Cam (mid 230s or custom grind)
Intake (Fast 92 or 102)
full bolt ons
4.10 gears
full suspension
This should get you by most cobras but in the event you get beat in round 1 i would keep a nano kit with a 150 shot in hands reach..good luck!!!
I dont like those pesky cobras either...

Why's everyone throwing out these big injector numbers. I'm pushing 475 rwhp through an auto with 30# red tops. Only reason to go bigger than that on a stock short block is if he's spraying dry. Also you should be able to run a 150 shot easily, did it for many years on a stock short with a 200 shot sometimes. I'm spraying my stock short LS3 with a 200 shot too. It's all in the tune.

My car, stock block & crank is pushing 795 rwhp on the kit. The block isn't the limit. My buddy is pushing over 1k rwhp on a stock blocked 434. Many cars with more than 1k rwhp are running stock aluminum blocks. Unless you are just talking stock short blocks. Many of them have been in the 700 rwhp range, don't know about longevity, but they have been pushed.

im on a stock short block 98, ive got prc 5.3 stg 2.5 heads, an EPS cam, with a 150 shot made 564rwhp, i've got a stalled auto with 4.11s. The stock bottom end will hold just make sure your nitrous is setup correctly and the Tune is right. From a dig on the street i have absolutly no problem putting 2-2.5 cars on my buddys 635rwhp 03 cobra, its got a 2.4 KB, pulley, air to water intercooler, meth kit, an its on e85, full supporting mods aswell.

i would do a full exhaust big cam and a 150 shot that will put you about 560 and that will be a good race with a whipple or kb cobra

Do you drive the car everyday? If so, I would do 3.73's, Full boltons, clutch, EPS cam, and a fast 92! This should put you 400rwhp+ after a tune get some drag radials and call it a day!

I would save the money for a turbo before id run nitrous in my own car.
These are a few ways of blowing your engine with nitrous;

1. Pedaling your throttle while the nitrous is on. (driver error)
2. If its a wet shot ur fuel solenoid goes out. (Parts go bad)
3. Your timing is way too much for your set up (tuner)
4. Using too much nitrous for application ie250+ shot on a stock bottom end (your an idiot and your tuner is a moron for letting you do this)
5. running too hot of a spark plug (u and your tuner have no idea what your doing)

As you can see 1 of the 5 is an issue you can't control other than that its going to be either your fault or your tuners fault. Now a days with as much knowledge there is about nitrous and the safe way of set ups unless you are a complete moron the use of nitrous is as safe as a blower or a turbo set up.

The beautiful thing about nitrous is that there is no lag, no heat soak, and unless you run out of nitrous is always there at your beckon call.

You my friend have no clue

Here is a correctly set up nitrous kit. I know both cars, the Corvette had 402 block, the SS had a cam exhaust and a 150 shot on a stock bottom end ls1 and 241 heads.

I would do the cam kit and the 100 shot and see how you do. If you need more up the jet to a 150 shot. If you need more then add heads. If more then that add a Fast intake and start pulling weight out of your car.

Ok been a min since my last post on this thread so far I have got a ms3 cam kit, textralia clutch, pro 5.o shifter, 15x4 and 15x10 pro stars with mt drs… pro kit,hsw dry kit,I'm doing a ported ls6 intake and tb till I can get a fast setup, and all I need to get yet is a set of heads which I'm in the process of shoping now. Thanks for all the info what I got so far might not do it just yet but getting in that direction, will be spraying a 125 to start, running a pretty bad *** cobra in the next week or 2 let you guys know how wwell the ss is going to do, might not be. A win but if I'm in a 3 to 4 car range pretty good start with out heads ,
