That motor. Aside from buying knock and cam sensor extensions, what would I need to buy or alter to get this motor in?

for that price talk to texas speed or HKE about having a motor built. Youll be able to get a lot more motor then that for the same price. built shortblock along with a set of used 243s would be my way over a stock ls2.

You will also need a timing chain cover and LS2 valley cover.....

And if you have good heads I agree with itsslow98. I have a forged/stroked HKE short block on the way to my shop for that $$$$$ including shipping....... Lot of upgraded parts in it over the OEM......

I was really just looking for a good replacement for my stock internals LS1 in the event that it blows up.

I've looked at all of the engine builders, but they usually run 8-11k USD. That's a good bit more expensive.

That is, unless somebody knows something I don't and would like to share
