LS6 Hot Cam I.D.
Hay guys this cam was in my car when I got it and was told it was a ls6 hot cam. I was wondering how to interpret the etching on this cam. The stamped # on it is (2870 A) which is upside down in the pic and hard to see. Thanks for the help.

First, you need to know that theres no such thing as a LS6 Hotcam, theres the GM Hotcam, and then theres the GM LS6 cam which was the stock cam for the 01'-04' ZO6 Corvette. The LS6 cam has .550" lift and the Hotcam has .525" lift with more duration on a more aggressive center line. The cam you have pictured doesnt appear to be a stock cam based off the etchings.
