Gaps between cylinder liners and block?
Gaps between cylinder liners and block? I picked up a used LS1 longblock from a 2001 C5, block is an LS6 casting.
I removed and sold the 241 heads, and was cleaning the deck surface today when I noticed cylinders 2 and 4 have small gaps between the iron cylinder liners and the aluminum block. Pics are attached.
Is this a problem?
The engine has <36K on it, heads were never off, the bores are perfect and still showing crosshatch. That's carbon reflection showing on the bore, BTW.
