Default Trunion upgrade

I found six needle nose bearings & sm piece of a rocker arm at tip of the oil drain plug while doing an oil change. My car's completly stock was wondering will this kit work with stock set up.

How much weight if any does this upgrade kit add to the rocker arms?

I think everyone should do this swap just for the insurance. I have it on my truck! If there were a better rocker than a stock one with the Comp trunion upgrade, I would have it.

For all intents and purposes, nothing. Adding weight at the trunnion wont affect anything, its a pivot point thats resting in a cradle.

Roller wheels over the valve tip add weight in the worst place possible.

This! The kit will also help make your valvetrain more quiet (doesn't fix preload noise issues of course)!

We stock the kit for $130 + shipping!

Is this a DIY kit, or is a press/unique tool required for installation into the OEM rockers? Thanks.

It doesn't take much to press the new trunions in at all. A friend of mine made the jig per Comps instructions and we used a basic punch to drive out the stock trunions and ended up using a drill press to press in the new trunions. We had a shop press, but it doesn't take much at all to press in the new trunions and just using the drill press made it much faster.

the upgrade kit is the only way to go if you do talk to thunder racing they did dyno test upgrade stock rockers and aftermarket roller rockers guess what stock ones made better power curves and they do have them in stock

I don't see an email, but I'll go ahead and respond here. Comp has had them on back-order for a while, and of course we ran out quickly after they did. We're waiting on a big stock order for them currently Comp says they are due back in this Friday finally!

Yeah I'm seeing it on Summit and Jegs bc their inventory runs live on the website. It keeps getting pushed back. I hate that ****, but I know its not the retailers fault. And I believe I sent a PM not an email for tsp and thunder.
