383 and stock windage tray?

Default 383 and stock windage tray?
i just torqued the windage tray down and it looks like its close to hitting the rods/rodbolts. does the stock windage tray clear a ls 383 with a 4.00 crank? or will it need to be modified?

You will have to modify it or use washers so it will clear

If you have ARP rod bolts like I do, they will just barely hit the tray. I used two flat washers on all the studs underneath the tray and it worked perfectly.

just confirmed they hit. gotta run and get 2 washers tomorrow. then finish building my motor

Remember it is 2 washers PER STUD not just 2 washers. Make sure you get the oil pump pick up tube installed correctly in the pump when you put it on. Spacing the tray down can cause it to pinch the o-ring if you aren't careful.
