I just acquired a freshly built short block and am tearing it down to insure the proper balance.

I was hoping to find out more information about these two parts if anyone knows.

6100 h-beam rods and forged flat tops with -3 valve reliefs. Other than that I have not a clue.

Anyone know something else?

 

Looks like numbers on the top of the piston. Cant read them from the pic though. You might try to google it. Also, look at the top of the rod bolts at the 12pt head. Some will say the brand name on the top. Or might just say ARP..

 

You will still be in good shape as long as they don't say eBay.

I know the top of the bolts have numbers on them too, they dont say arp though.
