Default ls7 cam in a 6.0

just curious as to your thoughts of a ls7 cam and putting it in my stock 6.0 with 317 heads. the bottom end will stay stock and the heads will only see a valve spring change. this motor will be a blow through turbo setup .

the cam i have already that came out of a friends 2006 z06. so i have the cam and have to order springs anyway. is it worth the hassle of having to change the front cover . doing the timing gear swap and extending the wires for the cam sensor from the back of the motor to the front? or would i be better off just ordering a custom cam?

They sell ls2 covers with the sensor already relocated from what I've been told. I have the same cam and have been trying to talk him into putting it in his LS2 GTO.

custom cam
LS7 is designed around LS7 heads - intake/exhaust split is different.

Speed Inc TU1 or TU2 for turbo setup.

Might save your money and get a regular 204/218 Z06 cam or a used cam similar to a Speed inc cam. Just in case you over do it on the stock bottom...
