How does DOHC make more power than pushrod?

I think 95 was the last year for those engines. Given how much bigger the LS has grown and with that kinda power that long ago with those heads, the cars today would be making stupid power.

Mike Moran was running 6.8's in 2006, the car that did 6.73 used a cathedral port head. While engine design can play a role in who is competitive, rules/restrictions play an equal part in that equation. Rules have made classes that flourished dry up over night in an effort to keep it "competitive".
