That is one way to get more air in the combustion chambers <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Seriously though, if that was my block you would see me in the corner <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

Enjoy the new engine...

The ARE shortblock has the Ross Pistons with ARP rod bolts and ARP main studs. Give Tom a call and tell him Marco sent you.

Marco,Saw the damage first hand <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> You did a real good job of getting more air in the cylinders <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> To me it looked like the valve spring broke.I would love to know which springs those were?I know the were dual something.
Good luck on the new motor <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Well the heads only had 5,000 miles on them. I cant understand how a spring could go bad like it did and do that much damage.

i think I got a great deal i dont want to discuss how much i paid but the core was never discussed since i didnt have one and I also ordered the shortblock with no cam so it came out alittle cheaper. I will say it was under $3,000.
