Help me judge my modification. I installed a set of 1.85 rocker arms and 918 springs. Upon close inspection, the 1.85s were virtually identical to the stock arms. So, I figured that one way to tell if they were 1.85s would be to do a few track runs to see if mph improves.

I make a few runs and get 105 mph. Previously with stock arms, I ran 106. So, I bumped up the rev limiter and 2-3 shift point and see a 106. Interesting. In the past, when I tried to bump up the 2-3 shift, I would lose one mph. Now I am seeing a gain. Hmmm. Is this gain from the rocker arms or possibly from the new 918 springs??

I understand that many other factors such as weather & weight can severely affect the mph so I’m not to concerned with that. I’m more curious to see other peoples insight as to why I’d get a gain when I bumped up the shift point. Rocker arm or springs? Was I sold a set of stock rocker arms?

probably the rockers. even with stock rockers and 918's the cam is still gonna peak at 5500 or so. and from my understand the slp rockers look the same as stock

Thanks for the reply. At least I have a little chance that the rockers are really 1.85s. It was so odd that previously my car could hook up well off the line, 1.9 60 ft, vs. lousy 2.2-2.4 60s this past weekend. I wonder if those 1.85s added more torque down low which affected traction?
