LS6 specific manuals?
Does anyone know of an online resource for a downloadable LS6 manual?
I am coming from a carburetor background and I am looking at an LS6/T56 in my garage for my project...needless to say, all of the wiring, computers and plugs are a little intimidating!
I'm sure that if I search hard enough and long enough it can be found, but thought I would try my luck with the experts here first!

I just checked alldata, and they don't have the CTS-V LS6 which is what I have.
I did find this one:
http://www.autorepairmanuals.biz/sit...product/GMP04D
but I am having a hard time choking down the price. I would rather pay a smaller subscription, and not renew it once I know it.

I also have the big 3 volume Service Manual Set that looks to be same one your link shows from Helm Inc, which they were selling for $135 the last time I checked. There may be used companies of Ebay or in the classifieds of the Cadillac forums.

Well I have a 2005 CTS-V LS6. I subscribe to Alldata for something like $30 per year. Try alldatadiy.com

I am assuming that it is a "P" VIN car?

I guess it is different by year...alldata is showing these three options:
V6 3.2L VIN N
V6 3.6L VIN 7
V8 5.7L VIN P
and according to Wikipedia, the only V8 CTS was the CTS-V LS6.

The only V8 CTS is indeed the CTS-V. My VIN is definitely an "S".
To add to the confusion Rock Auto parts catalog uses the "S" reference for both 2004 and 2005, which are the only years the CTS-V had an LS6. (2006-2007 CTS-Vs had LS2s and there was no 2008 CTS-V).
The Helm Inc. 2005 Service Manual covers all 2005 CTS & CTS-Vs with different sections for the 5.7 LS6, the Tremec, and other components that differ.
My Alldata subscription however, only refers to CTS-V components except when it comes to Technical Service Bulletins which cover all versions of CTS (and CTS-V).
Perhaps a phone call to Alldata would be your best bet.
