Rod knock question (W/PICS) engine: 98-02 LS1
Currently I have the pan and windage off as a result of a hole being punch through it by a man hole cover.
When it is running I get a knocking sound. A valve train sound. Since I have the cover off what should I be looking for to identify Rod knock as a possibility?
Visually I can see/move the rods very slightly on the crank.
