MTI Stage III LS6 Head question
Hey guys,
I was thinking of picking up a set of these heads but i dont know if they would work on my stock 346 ls1. I've read that they are meant for stroker engines but i cant confirm this info because MTI is longer around.
If i get these heads, I am going to upgrade the cam too so that would be my next decision to make. My mods will be pacesetter headers and Y pipe, FAST 90/90, UD pulley and supporting mods.
Any help would be appreciated.
The flow numbers for the heads are supposed to be
.100 .65 .54
.200 .135 .117
.300 .217 .185
.400 .271 .230
.500 .308 .254
.600 .325 .266

Probably not what you are looking for on a stock bore motor. Those 2.08 intake valve are pretty big for a 3.9" bore and I believe that they open the cc up for a bigger bore motor.
Valves that big are also going to cause more PTV issues than the smaller 2.02/1.55 valves.
Here's an old GMHTP article on a build with them.
