what is the best way to clean engine and heads
what is the best way to clean engine and heads i just picked up an engine for a project car and the engine was sitting outside for about 3 weeks, i tore it down and noticed some rust in two of the head valves and some in the cylinder walls (2 of them) over all the engine was in great shape but i want to cleat it up good.
I did not take the oil pan out and the covers are still there except the valley cover. i am not sure if i am installing a cam right away so i did not bother with the front and read cover.
im planning on using diluted simple green along with brake cleaner and maybe some wd40 on the head and cylinder walls.
so what do you say?
